My name is Suad, and I came from Somalia. I came to the United States in August 2007, and I moved from London U.K. where I lived for seven years. When I came to London, I didn't know how to speak the English language. Then I enrolled at Greenich Community College in East London. I attended there for three years and learned basic English and computing. I also worked as a care assistant for nearly four years, and I was trained in Health and Social Care for six month and have qualifications. The reason I came here was to join my husband who already lived here since 2000. My immigration status has changed, and now I became a U.S citizen last month on October 5, 2011. Since I 'm here in America, I completed my high school diploma at VOA. This is the second time I graduated from high school. The first time I graduated was when I was in my country. Even though the civil-war in my country had stopped my efforts to accomplish my study, when I came to America I decided to continue my study and succeed.
